Titilola L. N. Marinho is a Lagos-based author, researcher, and executive with more than three decades of professional experience in IT governance, quality management, and agribusiness. A Fellow of the British Computer Society and holder of multiple global certifications, she has led major projects in banking, telecommunications, and education, while also steering her own agricultural ventures. Beyond corporate leadership, she has dedicated over 30 years to a personal and scholarly exploration of Brazilian returnee history in West Africa. Drawing on archival research, oral tradition, and family records, her work traces the journeys of enslaved ancestors and returnee communities who shaped Lagos society. The result is a historically grounded yet deeply personal narrative that interrogates slavery, memory, resilience, and cultural identity across continents. With her book, she bridges scholarship and lived heritage, giving voice to untold stories that resonate far beyond her family’s name.
