Somayeh Rostampour

Somayeh Rostampour holds a PhD in sociology from the University of Paris 8. She is a feminist teacher-researcher and a member of several activist collectives. At the crossroads of political sociology, gender studies, and post/decolonialism, her research focuses on wartime activism through the prism of gender and the question of minorities, in Kurdistan, Turkey, and Iran. She is currently working on the intersection of gender-ethnicity-class, as part of a wider process of social movements and decolonial feminisms in the Middle East.
