Almsaddar Mona

Mona AlMsaddar, a Palestinian poet native of Gaza, holds a Master’s degree in Comparative Literature from Doha. She has published three poetry collections, two of which were written during her time in Gaza, while her most recent work, Faces, was released in Amman. In addition to poetry, she authored a short story collection in 2021. Additionally, she contributed to various poetry anthologies about Gaza.  Mona contributed to Fosha 48 Magazine and collaborated with We Are Not Numbers in 2021, writing stories that highlighted life in Gaza. She has also worked as a subtitle translator for the Al Jazeera Witness program, where she translated films that documented the ongoing genocide. Academically, she is currently focusing on a project that explores Tatreez as a practice separate from its resistance and cultural context.
