Mia Fuller is a cultural anthropologist who has combined fieldwork and architectural-historical research in her work on the Italian colonies between 1869 and 1943 (Moderns Abroad: Architecture, Cities, and Italian Imperialism, 2007). She teaches in the Italian Studies Department at UC Berkeley.
