Elder Maeve

Maeve Elder is a Master of Architecture candidate at Washington University in St. Louis. She received her BA in Classical Studies from the University of Chicago. Her intersecting interests in architecture, philosophy, politics, literature and film have led her to explore relationships between sociopolitical realities and their spatial manifestation in her work, from segregation in post-industrial cities to the layered sovereignty of military and energy landscapes. She has been a contributor to The Commonist, a student-created blog exploring the role of architecture and design within the public realm and its social implications.
