Luis Othoniel Rosa

Luis Othoniel Rosa (Puerto Rico, 1985) is the author of the short novels Otra vez me alejo (2012), Caja de Fractales (2017), and Down with Gargamel! (2020), of the experimental bilingual flip-book, Calima (2023), of the bilingual poetry collection, Triste la furia / Sadness, the Fury (2025), of the scholarly book, Comienzos para una estética anarquista: Borges con Macedonio (2016;2020), and of a long utopian novel, Animal Spiral / El gato en el remolino (forthcoming in simultaneous Spanish and English editions in Edinburgh: Charco Press, 2026). He studied at the University of Puerto Rico, earned a PhD from Princeton University, and teaches in the Institute for Ethnic Studies at the University of Nebraska. He is the founding editor of El Roommate: Colectivo de Lectores and collaborates with the LOUDREADERS Trade School.
