Tran Loan

Loan Tran is a migrant originally from Ho Chi Minh City, currently organizing in Durham. For more than a decade they have been involved in liberation struggles for migrants, LGBTQ people, communities of color, and youth and students. Loan was part of the mass effort in August 2017 to tear down the confederate monument in Durham, NC. Their work has been included in The Solidarity Struggle (2016) and Gendered Lives: Intersectional Perspectives (2019). A staunch anti-imperialist, they firmly believe only a multi-national, working class movement can change transform the conditions facing oppressed people in the U.S. and around the globe.
