Lissell Quiroz is born in a working class neighborhood of Lima and arrived in France when she was 18 years old. She is an immigrant in France. She studied history in Paris and became professor in Latin American studies at the Université de Rouen. Her works focus on health, feminisms, and history writing in a decolonial perspective. She is herself a decolonial feminist and takes her place in the filiation of subaltern women’s movements of Abya Yala, a name given by the Kuna Indigenous people to the American continent.
