Lissell Quiroz is born in Lima in a working-class neighborhood and immigrated later to France. She has a PhD in history and she is currently a professor of Latin American Studies at CY Cergy Paris Université. Her research focuses on the history of women, feminism and health in Latin America. She is also the author of Féminismes et Artivismes dans les Amériques (20e – 21e siècles) published in 2021, and Mettre au monde. La maternité enjeu de pouvoirs (Pérou, 1820-1920), to be published by Presses Universitaires de Rouen et du Havre in November 2021.
