Kerby Lynch is a current PhD student at the University of California, Berkeley. She considers herself a child of the Black Panther Party for Self Defense, Occupy Oakland, and the radical legacy of Lesbian Feminism in the Bay Area. Currently, they work on issues of police violence accountability, dismantling the carceral state and sexual justice. Kerby is a high school educator that teaches courses on Indigenous counter-mapping and California Native history to local students of color. Kerby also is a community archivist for the Bay Area Lesbian Archives where they work to preserve the life stories of radical lesbian activist who strived and successfully created alternative worlds.
