Javier Arbona is an Assistant Professor with a dual appointment in American Studies and Design at the University of California, Davis. Arbona is a geographer who studies spatial politics, violence, and memory. He is working on his first book, The City of Radical Memory: Spaces of Home Front Repression and Resistance in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Demilit (@demilit) is Bryan Finoki, Nick Sowers, and Javier Arbona. It scours landscapes for quotidian connections between spaces, objects, individuals, and authority. Founded in 2010, initially to participate in the Just Metropolis Conference at UC Berkeley.
