Emmelhainz Irmgard

Irmgard Emmelhainz is an independent translator, writer, and researcher based in Anahuac Valley (Mexico City). She is the author of The Tyranny of Common Sense: Mexico’s Postneoliberal Conversion (2016, forthcoming in English at SUNY Press), The Sky is Incomplete: Travel Chronicles in Palestine (Taurus Mexico, 2017), and Jean-Luc Godard’s Political Filmmaking (Palgrave Macmillan, 2019). Her new book, Toxic Loves, Impossible Futures: Feminist Lives as Resistance, is forthcoming in the Fall of 2021 with Vanderbilt University Press. Between 2018-2020 she was a FONCA fellow in essay writing.
