Paez Delvasto Daniela

Daniela Páez Delvasto is committed to challenging patriarchal and colonial ways of thinking, feeling, and acting — both in herself and in her immediate surroundings — to help build fairer communities. She conceives creative writing, the visibilization of non-dominant narratives, and collaborative platforms as powerful tools to boost emancipatory struggles and believes in their potential to spark cultural, social, and political transformations. With that vision, she founded República del Vulgo, a feminist community publishing space that promotes collective action. She has also been involved in global initiatives supporting sexual and reproductive rights, and she has worked on campaigns and research aimed at building social peace and preventing gender-based violence in rural areas in Colombia. She holds a B.A in Political Science and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Gender Studies with a minor in Development Studies.
