Batool Abu Akleen

Batool Abu Akleen is a Palestinian poet and translator who is living through the ongoing genocide in Gaza. In 2020, she was awarded the Barjeel Poetry Prize. Her poetry has been featured in numerous magazines worldwide and translated into several languages, including English and Italian. Abu Akleen is the Poet in Residence with Modern Poetry in Translation (MPT) for this year. She is currently working on her first poetry collection, a bilingual edition, which will be published next year by Tenement Press.
