Adriana Martínez Barón

Adriana Martínez Barón was born in 1988 in Bogotá, Colombia where she lives and works. She studied art at the Universidad de los Andes and received a postgraduate residency diploma from the ISA (Instituto Superior de Arte) in Havana, Cuba.  Her work has been exhibited in museums such as The Jewish Museum, NY, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Detroit, the Museum of Modern Art in Medellín, the Museum of Modern Art in Bogotá and the Golden Eagle Art Museum in Nanjing, China and in galleries and fairs in Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla, Puerto Colombia, CDMX, Guadalajara, Lima, Buenos Aires, Havana, San Juan, Miami, NYC, LA, Chicago, Madrid, Santander, Paris, Nice, Monte Carlo, Athens, Colonia and Basel. An article about her work can be read in the ARTFORUM print magazine from February 2017 and in the online magazine Hyperallergic. It is part of collections such as Kadist, JP Morgan, Banco de la República de Colombia and The Museum of Modern Art of Bogotà, MAMBO.
