The Funambulist Nº1

Militarized Cities

SEPTEMBER-NOVEMBER 2015

The second issue of The Funambulist Magazine is dedicated to suburban geographies as we commemorate the tenth anniversary of the French banlieues’ revolt against police violence, as well as the spatial segregation that characterizes these neighborhoods. French suburbs are however not the only instance examined here; other logics are unfolded in territories as different as the United States, South Africa, Palestine, Brazil and Spain.
