Zulaikha Ayub hails from the suburbs of Northern Virginia and is currently a visiting assistant professor at Mississippi State University. She holds a Master of Design Studies in the Historyand Philosophy of Design from Harvard University, where she examined the built environment of the Project Y laboratories in Los Alamos, New Mexico during the Manhattan Project. Her fascination with atomic weaponry and the underbelly of military regimes began at The Cooper Union where she earned a Bachelor of Architecture.
