Ylan Vo is currently studying in the Master of Architecture and Master of Landscape Architecture programs at Washington University in St. Louis, where her work focuses on community-based design and entrepreneurship models aimed at both economic resilience and sustainable natural systems management. She is the 2015 winner of the Deborah J. Norden Fund travel grant for her project entitled Ecologies of War and Recovery: A Case Study in Vietnam’s A Luoi Valley. Ylan received her BA in History of Art and Architecture from Brown University, where she also served on the planning committee of the international conference A Better World by Design.
