Sinthujan Varatharajah

Sinthujan Varatharajah is an essayist, researcher and Phd student in Political Geography at UCL, University of London. They are currently an Open City Fellow of the Open Society Foundation in Berlin, advocating for the inclusion of refugees in policy-making procedures in the EU city level. Varatharajah’s research focuses on spatial relations and politics of refugee camps. They have previously worked in providing and promoting alternative social housing solutions for refugees across Germany.
