# FINE ARTS /// Niki de Saint Phalle Interlude

In 1961, for her first exhibition, Niki de Saint Phalle shot her paintings on which several little bags of paint were bleeding on the canvas when they were pierced by the bullet. Maybe Enki Bilal got inspired by such a performative art for his character of Opus Warhole (see previous article).

    Hi Leopold!
It’s been a while since I last posted a comment on your blog but I keep following your posts!
As you’ve been writing regularly about labyrinths and about Foucault’s pparatus of surveillance, I thought you might be interested by Laurent Grasso’s exhibition at the Jeu de Paume. Here’s a link to Uraniborg: http://www.jeudepaume.org/index.php?page=article&idArt=1620&lieu=7

And funnily enough, the exhibition shows one of his works based on Bomarzo (located in the province of Viterbo in Italy) , a important reference to Niki de Saint Phalle’s Tarot Garden.

    • Bonjour Juliette,

It’s been a while indeed, but you’re still the number 1 comment writer on this blog !!!
I did not know Laurent Grasso but his discourse seems to be very interesting indeed. I will look it up more precisely this weekend.

      Thanks again
      Talk to you soon

      Leopold
